Join our Board

NCCA is seeking expressions of interest from people who'd like to join our volunteer Board.

Since 1989, NCCA has been the Top End's premiere independent, non-commercial contemporary artspace, and the Northern Territory's sole representative in the Contemporary Art Organisations Australia network. Our values guide how we work: exchange, experimentation, support, diversity and integrity.

We particularly want to hear from someone willing to take on the role of Secretary.

You don't need prior board experience. We're interested in what you bring — perspective, networks, and skills across any of the following fields: executive assistance, administration, governance, business development, philanthropy, or artistic practice.

We strive for a Board that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. We strongly encourage EOIs from First Nations people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and younger applicants.

The commitment: 4-6 meetings a year, plus occasional working groups and events. This is an unpaid role.

The Secretary prepares meeting agendas in consultation with the Chair and Director, takes and circulates the minutes of the meetings.

How to express interest: Send your CV with two referees and 250 words telling us who you are, what you'd bring, and whether you're interested in the Secretary role, to petrit@nccart.com.au by 11.59pm Wednesday 30 September. Happy to have an informal chat first — just get in touch.
