Queer Territory

Queer Territory will focus on the work of queer contemporary artists from or based in the NT. It purports to be the first such exhibition to comprehensively foreground queer contemporary arts practice within an NT context. The exhibition will have an emphasis on living artists although examples of work by artists no longer alive or no longer NT residents will also be considered for inclusion. The exhibition will not be prescriptive in how each artist or their work interprets ‘queer’; simply that they identify as

queer/LGBTQIA+ and that the work characterises their practice to some

degree.
